What? You mean your child doesn’t tell you everything – or anything at all? Never fear, our Band Directors and Boosters are tireless communicators who will get the proper information out to you across a number of channels. The Band Directors put out a weekly schedule during marching season, which you will receive via email, so it is very important that at Band Registration, you provide an accurate and frequently checked email address. The band boosters will also send out email blasts.

In addition, the Boosters maintain a Facebook page and a Twitter feed; see links for both below. These two outlets are excellent for receiving fast-breaking news like contest results or arrival time updates for returns from contests or away games, especially if you are on the go. (Please remember for Facebook to not only “like” the page, but to also go under the “Liked” tab and check “Get Notifications”. Otherwise, instead of getting all of the valuable information posted, you will only see whatever random handful of posts Facebook chooses to deliver to your news feed). The Band Directors also use a service called Celly to put out news and alerts; see below for subscription information. And of course, there is this website, as well as the official school website for both the high school and middle school bands, www.dsbands.org. Additional information may also be found on the official Dripping Springs ISD website.
